Terms of service.

1. Who we are

Tarzi Editor is made by Arjun Rao Nemala, a sole proprietor trading as Tarzi and operating heytarzi.com ("Tarzi", "we", "us"), at Sanjay Nagar, PHC, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh 533001, India. Contact: [email protected] · +91 79816 13821.

2. Merchant of Record

You buy from Paddle under Paddle's Buyer Terms. Tarzi licenses the software to you under these Terms. Paddle calculates and collects any applicable sales tax, VAT or GST.

3. Plans

• Free trial: 7 days, full app, no watermark, no payment details needed, with a small allowance of trial AI credits. The trial runs inside the app and ends automatically. Nothing is charged unless you buy a plan.
• Pro: a monthly or yearly subscription. Includes the app, updates while subscribed, and a monthly allowance of AI credits as stated on the Pricing page.
• Founder Lifetime: a one-time purchase, limited to 100 active licences; a refunded licence reopens one place. Includes a perpetual licence to the Tarzi Editor desktop app and its updates. It does not include cloud AI features; AI credits are sold separately.

4. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Tarzi Editor on up to 2 devices you own or control at one time, for your own personal or business projects. You can move a licence by deactivating it on one device first. You may not sublicense, rent, resell, share licence keys or circumvent licence checks.

• Pro licences last while your subscription is active.
• Founder Lifetime licences are perpetual and include updates for as long as we offer Tarzi Editor. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the product, not of the buyer. If we ever stop offering Tarzi Editor, the last version you installed keeps working offline, except for features that depend on our cloud services.

5. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, at the then-current price, until cancelled. Paddle charges your saved payment method.

You can cancel at any time through the link in your Paddle receipt or at paddle.net. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep access until then and won't be charged again. We'll give advance notice of any price increase as required by law, and you may cancel before it applies.

6. AI credits

• AI credits are units that measure use of Tarzi Editor's cloud AI features. Pro includes a monthly allowance. Extra credit packs can be bought as one-time purchases once they are available.
• Pro's included credits reset each billing month. Unused included credits roll over for one extra month only, so you hold at most two months' allowance, and they expire when your subscription ends.
• Purchased credit packs are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
• Credits have no cash value. They are not money, e-money, store credit or a gift card. They can't be exchanged for cash, transferred, sold or used outside Tarzi Editor.
• Credit costs per feature are shown in the app and may change with notice. Changes don't affect credits already used.

7. Fair use

AI credits define usage limits. Reselling, automated or abusive use isn't allowed, and we may limit it. Plans are for normal individual or team use of the desktop app. You may not:

• resell or provide access to Tarzi Editor or its AI features as a service to others
• run automated, scripted or bulk processing through the app or our APIs
• share accounts or licence keys
• try to get around credit limits, licence checks or rate limits

We may throttle, queue or pause cloud AI usage that is abusive or harms service for others. For serious or repeated breaches we may suspend the account after notice where practical.

8. Acceptable content and AI output

Tarzi Editor is for AI-assisted editing of your own footage. You are responsible for the footage and material you import and for what you publish. You must have the rights and any consents needed, including from people who appear in it. You must not use Tarzi Editor to create or edit:

• deepfakes, face swaps or voice impersonations
• content using anyone's likeness without their explicit consent
• sexual or age-restricted content
• material that infringes copyright or trademarks
• unlawful, harassing or deceptive material

How your footage is processed. Your video files stay on your PC and are edited there. To plan and check edits, Tarzi Editor sends your instructions, transcripts and a few downscaled still frames to the cloud AI engine you configure, and your voice audio only if you choose a cloud voice provider. That provider's own terms apply to what it receives. See the Privacy notice.

AI features can make mistakes. Captions, edits and suggestions are provided "as is" and you should review them before publishing. We don't claim ownership of your footage or your outputs.

9. Early access

Tarzi Editor is in early access. Features, credit costs and system requirements (currently Windows 11) may change, and bugs are possible. We'll avoid removing core paid features without notice. If a change materially reduces what you paid for, contact us and we'll work with Paddle on a fair remedy, which may include a refund.

11. Warranty and liability

Except as required by law, the software is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the plan in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

12. Termination

You can stop using Tarzi Editor at any time. We may end your licence if you materially breach these Terms. Sections 6 to 8 and 11 survive.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. The version in force when you buy applies to that purchase.
